A 43-year-old Cuban citizen was detained this Monday in Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras, under suspicion of being part of the criminal network known as "El Súper Javi." This gang has been accused by authorities of managing drug distribution points in the western region of the country.
According to Honduran newspaper La Tribuna, the arrested individual was identified as Rodolfo Infante Mora, also known as "El Cubano." Police investigations suggest that he has been involved with the organization for approximately nine months, overseeing the supply and distribution of drugs in various areas of the Santa Eduviges neighborhood.
The arrest occurred during an operation conducted by the Anti-Extortion and Terrorist Associations Division (DAET), with the support of the National Directorate of Prevention and Community Safety and the Police Intelligence Directorate. In the same operation, authorities also detained Carlos Alberto Fugón Garay, known as "El Doctor," originally from La Ceiba, Atlántida. He is believed to have been part of the same organization for about a year, responsible for the direct sale of narcotics in the area.
During the intervention, officers seized 22 packets of crack rocks, 25 doses of suspected marijuana, cash, and two cell phones, all of which are now in custody as part of the investigation.
Police reports indicate that Infante Mora had prior drug trafficking charges dating back to January 2026, while his alleged accomplice had a history of public disorder offenses.
