A captivating scene unfolded at Navarre Beach in northwest Florida, where a group of dolphins delighted onlookers by playing and leaping among the sizable waves churned up by Tropical Storm Bertha.

The spectacle was captured and shared on Facebook by Beautiful Moments Photography by BeBe, who humorously dubbed the dolphins as the "Air Jordans of Navarre Beach," referencing the impressive height of their jumps.

"Bring it on, Bertha!" the post exclaimed, accompanying a series of photos where numerous dolphins can be seen breaking through the water, seemingly using the wave's power to launch themselves.

Florida meteorologist Matt Devitt also shared the images on Facebook, noting the animals' remarkable antics. "Tropical Storm Bertha is kicking up big waves along Florida's Panhandle, and the dolphins are loving it! This is Navarre Beach, where wind gusts have occasionally topped 40 mph," Devitt remarked.

The video quickly went viral, showcasing the striking contrast between the rough seas and the dolphins' breathtaking jumps, transforming the dangerous surf into an unexpected show along the Floridian shoreline.

Bertha made landfall in southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday with sustained winds reaching 45 mph, continuing its westward path near the coasts of Louisiana and Texas.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) cautioned that Bertha's waves would persist along the northern Gulf coast, potentially creating hazardous marine conditions and life-threatening rip currents.

While the images of the dolphins are mesmerizing, authorities advise against venturing into the ocean in affected areas and urge the public to heed local warnings about high surf and dangerous currents.
