Yordania, the daughter of the late and renowned Cuban surgeon Ramón Blas Villamil from Las Tunas, publicly denounced the Panamanian justice system this week in statements to CiberCuba, claiming it is corrupted. She alleges that the Amber Alert system was misused as a pressure tactic in a legal dispute with her daughter's father.

At the time of publication, the campaign had raised $1,725. The funds will be sent directly to Yordania to cover legal fees and essential needs.
"All the money raised will be sent directly to Yordania and used to meet her essential needs as she recovers and gets back on her feet," Pérez specified in the campaign description.
The Cuban community, both in Panama and in Honduras, Costa Rica, and even within Cuba, has actively shared the case across social media platforms.
Cubans have shown in similar situations that they can quickly gather substantial sums to support compatriots in distress.
