The FBI is requesting public assistance to identify a man involved in a robbery at a Wells Fargo branch in Miami Lakes on Monday morning, as reported by Telemundo 51.

The robbery took place at approximately 9:25 a.m. at the branch located at 15615 NW 67th Ave. The suspect entered the bank and demanded money from an employee.

Authorities have not disclosed the amount of cash taken but confirmed there were no injuries during the incident.

The FBI released four surveillance images showing the suspect dressed entirely in black, including a hoodie, pants, shoes, and a backpack.

As of this writing, the suspect remains unidentified and at large. The investigation is being conducted jointly by the FBI, the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office, and the South Florida Violent Crime and Fugitive Task Force.

This robbery occurs amid a surge in bank-related crimes in South Florida in recent weeks, including multiple incidents at Wells Fargo branches in Hallandale Beach, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, and Davie, as well as a thwarted attempt at a Chase Bank in Miami.

On the same Wednesday, authorities apprehended Kevin Anthony Heslop, a 38-year-old Miami resident, after a police chase ended in a crash in Miami Gardens. Heslop faces federal charges for allegedly being involved in more than seven robberies or attempted robberies in the metropolitan area over the past month and a half. However, officials clarified that he is not connected to the Miami Lakes case.

The FBI has previously relied on public assistance to solve bank robberies in Miami-Dade. In November 2024, the agency sought two suspects in county bank robberies by distributing surveillance images to gather citizen tips.
