Hallel Genesis Bids Tearful Farewell to Beloved Pet Oreo: "The Most Beautiful and Genuine Love"

Cuban singer Hallel Genesis took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a heartfelt farewell to her beloved pet, Oreo, whose passing left her followers deeply moved by one of the most personal posts of her career.

In the reel shared on her Instagram account, Genesis humorously and tenderly recounted her relationship with Oreo, filled with everyday squabbles that, in hindsight, highlighted their deep bond.

"We had a love-hate relationship, but it was the most beautiful and genuine love," Hallel wrote in the post, which quickly garnered thousands of likes and hundreds of supportive comments.

The young artist fondly remembered how Oreo never allowed her near his food, suspecting she was the only one capable of stealing it, and how he would nip at her fingers if she tried.

She also shared how she couldn't stand the pet entering her room because of the fur he left behind, often shouting, "OREO GET OUT, I'M ALLERGIC TO YOU!"

However, it was that very morning she saw him for the last time, greeting him as always with, "mommy's or daddy's doggy, mommy loves you," as she recounted in the post.

"Now I'd give anything to come home and see you in my room," wrote the artist in one of the text's most touching moments.

Hallel also mentioned that Oreo instilled a bit of fear in family members, though she laughed, saying her mom denies it, and that the only person the pet respected was "Soto."

The post concluded with a collective message: "WE LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU SO MUCH. Rest in peace, Oreo."

The farewell to Oreo reveals a personal and vulnerable side of the artist, who usually shares content related to humor, music, and entertainment with her Instagram audience.

Recently, the singer was involved in quite different activities: performing at the Summer Kickoff Festival 2K26 in Varadero and providing aid to pregnant women at the Maternal Home in Güines, Mayabeque, during her visit to Cuba in June.
