Daughter of Late Cuban Singer El Taiger Honored in Spiritual Milestone Celebration

Thursday, May 21, 2026 by Bella Nunez

Eliani Rodríguez, mother of Ana Paloma—the daughter of the late Cuban artist El Taiger—shared a heartfelt message on Instagram this Wednesday to commemorate her daughter's second year on a spiritual journey.

"Today marks two years of a blessed path, two years since Eleguá opened the doors of your life and Yemayá enveloped you with her mantle of love and protection," the mother expressed in her post.

Photos accompanying the message displayed Ana Paloma adorned with a crown inscribed with "ELEGGUA," along with bead necklaces and traditional white attire, elements characteristic of the Regla de Ocha, a Yoruba-origin religion widely embraced in Cuba and among its diaspora.

"My beautiful girl, since that day, your destiny has been guided by the light, the wisdom of the orishas, and the spiritual strength that surrounds you. You are a blessing, you are faith, you are hope brought to life," continued Eliani Rodríguez in her message.

The post also acknowledges key figures in the religious initiation process: the godmother Ochún Dina, the oyubona—a secondary godparent in the ceremony—and grandmother Magda.

The closing paragraph of the message touched many followers deeply: "May the love and blessings of your dad always be with you, my queen. Your family cherishes you. You are remarkable, my daughter, may God always bless you."

The reference to her deceased father holds significant weight: El Taiger passed away on October 10, 2024, in Miami at the age of 37, after being found with a gunshot wound to the head on October 3 of that year. His death was investigated as a homicide.

Ana Paloma, who turned 8 in February 2026, is one of the four children the artist left behind.

Since the reggaeton star's passing, the young girl has become a highly followed figure on social media, where her mother frequently shares moments from her life and tributes to her father.

Mother and daughter left Cuba in June 2025, relocating to Cancun, Mexico, as confirmed by Eliani Rodríguez on April 22.

"As a mother, I reaffirm today that I will be by your side at every step, guiding you, caring for you, and loving you with all my heart. You are my pride, my strength, and my reason to fight every day," concluded Eliani Rodríguez in her message, which quickly garnered over 5,100 likes and more than a hundred comments.
