Bian Oscar Rodríguez Galá, better known as El B, broke his silence this past Sunday with an explosive video targeting his former bandmate from the duo Los Aldeanos, Aldo Roberto Rodríguez Baquero, also known as Al2 El Aldeano. In the video, El B accuses Aldo of perpetuating attacks on him and his partner Lía over the span of 12 years.
The immediate catalyst for this outburst was the viral spread of El B's comments on social media, which, according to him, were taken out of context. He explained that a fake profile deleted its own messages, leaving only his responses, which painted him as "crazy."
“This is me, Bian Oscar Rodríguez. I don't send others to speak for me," El B asserted at the start of the video, emphasizing that he was speaking directly and not through intermediaries.
El B addressed his former partner bluntly: "You've spent 12 years, 12 years targeting my family, constantly attacking my wife, Lía, drawing attention to her so no one notices what you're hiding."
According to El B, Aldo's associates — whom he refers to as "the butler" and "the clown" — spent two months conducting live streams and interviews with the explicit aim of defaming him and his partner, under Aldo's authorization.
El B claims to have attempted to resolve the issue privately on numerous occasions without success: "I tried to handle it privately countless times. The last time on Instagram, he blocked me."
As a clear warning, El B stated that if Aldo's circle resumes their actions, he will start revealing details about Mariela Cartagena Ortuski, whom he describes as Aldo's "hidden woman" with whom he married and had a child.
“I’ll start talking about Mariela Cartagena Ortuski, the woman you kept hidden. Any man who feels the need to hide the woman he chose to marry and have a child with has no right to speak about anyone else's woman,” he declared.
El B also disclosed that he had to hire a lawyer named Jonathan to regain access to his Hugo Larsen YouTube channel, which had been linked to Mariela's account, preventing him from monetizing it.
Furthermore, he described what he calls Aldo's circle's "modus operandi": “They dedicate themselves to harassing people and then call the law.”
The rapper announced that he has prepared legal cases: "I have your case ready too. A case for cyber harassment, threats, defamation. It's all set up for you."
El B and Aldo established Los Aldeanos on February 27, 2003, in La Lisa, Havana, becoming one of the most influential rap duos in Cuba, known for their critical stance against the dictatorship. Their split was gradual, with El B discussing separate paths as early as 2018, and in December 2022, he stated they would not reunite or perform together again.
Meanwhile, Al2 El Aldeano pursued a successful solo career, achieving international recognition, including a 2024 Latin Grammy nomination for the track "Blam Blam" with Vico C.
El B concluded his message with an explanation for his prolonged silence: “I've kept quiet, you know why? Because of the legacy. To not break the hearts of those who truly believed in this.”
