Otaola Unveils Insights on Reggaeton Artist Chocolate's Prison Experience

Influencer Alex Otaola delivered an exclusive update this Thursday regarding the circumstances surrounding Chocolate MC at the South Florida Reception Center in Doral, Florida, where the Cuban reggaeton artist is serving a 10-year prison sentence.

The account was provided by a viewer of Otaola's program who had direct contact with the artist, detailing his physical, emotional, and spiritual state after spending over a month in a special confinement unit.

According to the message broadcasted, authorities have classified Chocolate MC as a "high-profile inmate" due to his fame, restricting him from mingling with other prisoners: "He's at the South Florida Reception Center in Doral. He's been there for 30 days in an area known as confinement, essentially a prison within a prison."

On the day of the report, the artist was brought out of his cell for a medical counseling interview, during which the viewer spoke with him for approximately 10 minutes: "He was taken out of his cell this morning for a medical counseling session. He told me he's turned to God, discarding all his saints and religious images. He's been unable to contact his family for over a month due to no visitation, yet he appeared healthy and in good spirits."

Despite his confinement, the witness described Chocolate MC as maintaining a positive attitude: "He's still his usual self, joking and laughing. There's not much else he can do."

However, the artist expressed discomfort with his conditions: "He admitted that his life had been chaotic and he's repentant, having turned to God. He misses air conditioning as he's constantly overheated, never gets sunlight, feels claustrophobic being locked up all the time, and doesn't understand the reason for such treatment since he hasn't misbehaved."

The witness further clarified that the artist's conduct inside the facility does not warrant the treatment he's receiving: "He hasn't done anything wrong in prison, hasn't misbehaved."

The most notable aspect of the report is Chocolate MC's apparent spiritual transformation, finding solace in faith since November 2025, when he declared from TGK prison that he sings "praises every day."

This depiction contrasts with his sister Isis Sierra's statement on April 2, when she reported mistreatment to Telemundo 51, reading words attributed to the artist: "They have me in a box, without a shower, without clothes, without a blanket to cover myself, sleeping on a bare mattress."

The witness concluded with a prediction: "I believe he'll come out of this as an evangelical pastor."

Chocolate MC was sentenced on March 2 after agreeing to a plea deal covering three charges: inciting the murder of Damián Valdez Galloso, kidnapping a fan, and theft in a hotel room.
