Carlucho Unveils His Charm with Women: "I'm Not William Levy, But..."

Wednesday, April 29, 2026 by Henry Cruz

Cuban comedian José Carlos Pérez, known as "Carlucho," openly shared his true secret to winning over women during an interview with journalist Tania Costa from CiberCuba. Contrary to what one might expect, it's not about his looks or prowess, but rather his sense of humor.

When questioned about whether he has a certain "magic" with women, Carlucho humorously replied, "Well, it must be because I bring the ants, right?" Avoiding any braggadocio, he described himself as "a very fortunate man" who has been loved by women who, he modestly admits, were out of his league.

"I've been lucky that women who shouldn't have loved me, actually did. That's a great blessing," he admitted.

Reflecting on his younger days, Carlucho recounted waking up next to someone and wondering, amazed, "Why is this happening? You know, I was surprised."

The most entertaining moment came when the comedian candidly shared his secret: "I don't have blue eyes or Brad Pitt's physique, but I have a way with words that I think wins them over."

He went further with a comedic revelation that sparked laughter: "They might not have felt much pleasure, but they sure laughed a lot. Because when it comes to sex, I'm not that great lover. But when I undress, the laughter wins them over."

"I just take off my clothes, and they see my vitiligo on the left and cellulite on the right, and they laugh and fall asleep," he added, using his body as comedic material, a hallmark of his autobiographical style for decades.

To illustrate the contrast, Carlucho referenced William Levy, the Cuban actor known worldwide for his sculpted physique: "I didn't have to be a William Levy. I've been Carlucho, but I've been very fortunate indeed."

In the same interview, Carlucho addressed the controversy with presenter Carlos Otero and reflected on his self-belief despite setbacks: "I've always believed. Some may not like to hear this, but I have complete faith in myself." He summed up his life journey with a phrase: "When I haven't fallen, I've thrown myself. And I'm back."

When asked whether the comedian and the man are one and the same, Carlucho left it to the audience: "Don't ask questions the audience has already answered. You've spoken with the man. In all his facets."

The comedian, who has been living in Madrid for about a year and a half, is set to perform on May 3rd at the Teatro Las Vegas alongside Robertico in the show "El Reencuentro," marking the first joint performance of Los Bufomaníacos in over 25 years.

"In the time I've had, I think I've managed to make up for it with a lot of humor," Carlucho concluded, staying true to the philosophy that he claims has worked for him throughout his life.
