President Donald Trump declared on Wednesday that Iran's nuclear program has been effectively dismantled and announced that the United States will collaborate with Tehran to extract the remnants of enriched uranium buried after B-2 bomber strikes.

In a morning post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump stated that Iran has undergone what he described as a highly productive regime change, declaring that uranium enrichment in the country will cease.

"The United States will closely cooperate with Iran, which we have determined has gone through what will be a very productive regime change," Trump wrote.

The president announced that both nations will work together to "unearth and remove" the so-called "nuclear dust," referring to the enriched uranium remnants deeply buried following the B-2 bomber attacks.

"There will be no more uranium enrichment, and the United States, in partnership with Iran, will unearth and remove all the deeply buried 'nuclear dust'," he specified.

Trump also mentioned that these facilities have been under precise satellite surveillance by the Space Command since the date of the attack, ensuring that "nothing has been touched since then."

The announcement coincides with Trump's disclosure of a two-week bilateral ceasefire, brokered by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, contingent upon the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran had closed, disrupting naval traffic by 97%.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi confirmed that Iran would halt its defensive operations if U.S. and Israeli attacks ceased.

In his post, Trump also indicated that tariff and sanction relief negotiations are underway with Iran, noting that "many of the 15 points have already been agreed upon."

The military context preceding these statements involves Operation Midnight Hammer, executed on June 22, 2025, where seven B-2 Spirit bombers struck Iranian nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan with 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs, marking the first operational use of such weaponry.

Following this operation, the U.S. and Israel launched Operation Epic Fury, targeting over 5,000 Iranian sites, eliminating Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and 48 other senior military officials, and severely degrading 90% of Iran's missile capabilities and 95% of its drones.

In March 2026, Trump had previously stated in an interview that Iran's nuclear capabilities were "completely obliterated last summer," though he acknowledged the presence of "nuclear dust" buried in tunnels, now announcing its removal as part of a broader agreement with Tehran.

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran possessed 440.9 kilograms of 60% enriched uranium as of March 2026, enough for approximately nine nuclear bombs, material now set to be under joint control as per Trump's announcement.
