An individual was apprehended on Friday in Abel Santamaría Park, located in Santiago de Cuba, after he attempted to snatch a mobile phone from a member of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) who was present undercover.
Eyewitnesses, as reported by independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, stated that the man approached the military officer and tried to seize the device, but the response was swift and decisive.
"Within seconds, the man was subdued and restrained in the middle of the public area, observed by numerous people who were in the park," Mayeta detailed on his Facebook page.
