Carlos Otero's Heart-Stopping Prank by Los Pichy Boys: "Thought He Had a Heart Attack"

During the celebration of the 20th anniversary of their production company, Pichy Films, Los Pichy Boys pulled off an unforgettable prank on their friend and colleague, Carlos Otero. The moment was captured in a Facebook reel that has garnered over 21,000 views.

The video, aptly titled "No 20 years of Pichy Films without @carlosoterotv, what an honor to have you in the Charlie room," showcases how the duo, consisting of Alejandro González (Alex) and Maikel Rodríguez (Maikito), turned a genuine scare into an exaggerated comedic spectacle, staying true to their irreverent style.

It all started when Carlos Otero stumbled or fell in the "Charlie room," the venue where Los Pichy Boys were celebrating their anniversary. "I thought he fell. What an embarrassment it was. I said, dear God," one of the comedians recounted in the video, describing the moment when they feared the worst.

From there, the prank escalated to absurd levels: the comedians pretended that Otero had passed away and that they had to dedicate the entire show "in memoriam" to him. "You pretend to have to dedicate the show to Carlos Botero today. No, you pretend. Everyone to the funeral home, you're done," the reel captured, amid laughter.

The punchline involved an impossible condition for the imaginary wake: López and Otadola—two figures frequently referenced in the comedic universe of the duo—had to attend together. "But the body present, under one condition. What is it? That López and Otadola go together," they said, prompting the immediate response: "Oh, don't get involved in that relationship."

Carlos Otero, a beloved Cuban presenter and host born on June 16, 1958, in Havana, is a cherished figure in Miami's Cuban entertainment scene. He left Cuba on December 8, 2007, and for 15 years was the face of TN3 on América TeVé, until departing in May 2022 due to disagreements with the producer. He now hosts "La Hora de Carlos Live!" on Facebook and YouTube.

The bond between Otero and Los Pichy Boys is long-standing and strong. Otero has been a guest on several of their shows, including "Pellízcame que estoy soñando," "La Cosa Nostra," and "El Mikimbín de Miami," and in 2025, both mourned the passing of fellow comedian José Téllez, known as "El Chico Bombón."
