The United States confirmed on Sunday the deployment of stealth B-2 bombers to strike Iran's ballistic missile facilities.
The U.S. Central Command (Centcom) stated on X, "Last night, American B-2 stealth bombers, armed with 900 kg bombs, targeted Iran's fortified ballistic missile installations."
They further emphasized, "No nation should ever doubt the resolve of the United States."
According to The Hill, it marks the second occasion that these advanced aircraft have been used in an operation against Iran. Previously in June, seven B-2 Spirit bombers released 14 massive 30,000-pound GBU-57 bunker busters on Iranian nuclear sites in Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz.
The stealth B-2 bombers have the capability to soar above 50,000 feet and fly 6,900 miles without the need to refuel.
On Sunday, Centcom also reported the death of three American soldiers, with five others severely injured. The identities of the deceased will be withheld for 24 hours to respect the families' privacy, they added.
Meanwhile, former President Trump issued a warning to Iran, threatening unprecedented force if Tehran follows through with its vow to launch a "historic offensive" against the U.S. and Israel, in retaliation for the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
EFE reported that the Iranian regime confirmed the death of the supreme leader following a joint military operation conducted on Saturday by U.S. and Israeli forces targeting strategic locations in Tehran and other cities.
Through his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump addressed the threats made by Iranian authorities in recent hours.
"Iran has just declared that they will strike with more force than ever today. However, they better not, because if they do, we will hit them with a force never seen before," wrote the former president.
In another post on Saturday, after confirming Khamenei's death, Trump remarked, "Khamenei, one of the most evil people in history, is dead. This is not only justice for the Iranian people but also for all great Americans and people from many countries who have been killed or maimed by Khamenei and his band of bloodthirsty thugs."
The U.S. leader also urged the Iranian populace to "reclaim" their country after decades under the ayatollahs' regime.
