Otaola Delivers Strong Message from the U.S. About Cuba: "No Mercy for Raúl Castro"

Cuban influencer Alex Otaola has publicly demanded the immediate removal of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) from power, firmly opposing any negotiations between Havana and Washington that do not focus on the regime's complete dismantling.

His comments came in the wake of protests held in Miami and other cities worldwide, calling for the end of the Cuban dictatorship and urging U.S. President Donald Trump to intervene in Cuba's crisis.

The statement was made against the backdrop of rising international tensions following Trump's ordered strike on Iran, which resulted in the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during a joint military operation by U.S. and Israeli forces.

Otaola declared, "It's time for the Communist Party to step down. The only discussion the U.S. administration should have with them is the timing and manner of their departure. No other negotiations should occur."

He emphasized that he is not seeking reforms within Cuba's current political system. "We don't want to fix the socialist economy. We want to overthrow socialism," he stated.

Additionally, he remarked, "We don't want to preserve any of the so-called 'achievements' touted by the Cuban dictatorship. We aim to dismantle the Communist Party. We want it incapacitated for the next 20 centuries."

Otaola also rejected any leftist ideological continuity in a potential transition scenario on the island. "It will be a Cuba for everyone, but a Cuba where the left has no place," he asserted.

He argued that the country has endured "67 years of lives reduced to misery" and "67 years of destitution," thus, the regime deserves no mercy or negotiations of any sort.

Referring to the recent events in Iran, he noted, "There was no mercy for the Ayatollah, and there should be none for Raúl Castro."

Otaola sent a direct message to Washington: "It's now or never, Mr. Trump. We demand action now, Secretary of State Marco Rubio. We want to be heard. We insist on being considered."

The influencer reiterated his refusal to engage in "dialogues with the dictatorship" or "offer an escape route" to the Cuban rulers. He asserted that those who have held power in the island "must pay for their crimes."

"I don't want to see them in jail; I'd rather see them laid out," Otaola expressed regarding the fate he envisions for Cuba's leaders.

Meanwhile, the U.S. president has indicated that Secretary of State Marco Rubio is in talks with high-level officials in Cuba amid increasing political pressure on the regime.
