Video Surfaces Showing Group Members Arriving in Cuba by Boat Handling Weapons

Thursday, February 26, 2026 by Daniel Colon

A recently released video shared by journalist Javier Díaz on social media captures two members of a group that arrived by boat to Cuban waters on Wednesday, as they handle firearms and discuss their operation.

Díaz captioned the footage, “Exclusive video of how some members prepared to carry out a military action against the communist dictatorship in Cuba,” when he posted it on his digital platforms.

The clip reveals two men, seemingly inside a gun store, holding rifles and discussing their usage. One man comments, “The good thing is I know how to handle and clean them,” while showing a weapon. He adds, “I can attach a silencer to this, and it’s done, it’s done just like that.”

The same individual remarks on the weapon's range: “If you can hit someone from a distance with this, imagine at 500 meters, which is the effective range.”

Meanwhile, the other man, also gripping a rifle, criticizes the wooden grip of the weapon he holds, saying, “It's like you're holding a slingshot, so uncomfortable. This isn't comfortable. It's useless; it's just for the boys to practice with,” he states.

He further explains that it’s an old Serbian model and compares it to a Russian AK-47 rifle, noting that it’s not the modern version but an earlier one.

The video emerges amidst the ongoing investigation into the maritime incident off the Cuban coast. According to the official account, Cuban forces shot and killed four people and injured seven others following a gunfire exchange.
