Anna Sofía Benítez Silvente, known to her followers as Anna Bensi, is facing a new wave of harassment. The Cuban influencer revealed on Monday that she has been bombarded with numerous calls and messages from strangers inquiring if she sells eggs.

“For days now, I've been receiving messages and calls asking if I sell eggs. I'm not sure what this strategy is about,” she posted on her social media accounts. She also shared screenshots of Cuban numbers repeatedly contacting her with the same inquiry: “Hello, do you sell eggs?”

When she attempted to return some of the calls, Bensi noticed peculiarities. In one instance, the person on the other end claimed they had dialed a completely different number, which heightened her suspicion that her phone number had been shared on a buy-and-sell group or page without her consent.

The young influencer stated that she will continue to publicly expose the numbers of those who contact her. “There are many more, but just so you know, I will expose each one who calls from now on,” she warned.

Support poured in from her followers, who commented that such tactics are not unprecedented. Journalist José Raúl Gallego noted that this is a method previously employed against activists, dissidents, and families of political prisoners: posting their numbers on ad platforms to create a deluge of calls that disrupt their personal and professional lives. “It's the State Security,” he claimed.

Other users shared their own stories, reporting sudden phone calls after they voiced critical opinions on social media. Some suggested blocking calls from unknown numbers, while others warned that these actions could be attempts to "fabricate a cause" or instigate an incident that could later be used against them.

This situation arises just a day after the young Havana native made waves online with her video “Blind by Convenience,” a direct critique of double standards and comfortable silence in Cuba.

In the video, Bensi openly questioned whether it is possible to thrive on the island without remaining silent in the face of power, highlighting the price paid by artists, entrepreneurs, and creators who choose to dissent.

At just 21, Bensi has become one of the most visible and outspoken young voices in the country, frequently addressing issues such as surveillance, work pressures, and internet disruptions.
