On Monday, President Donald Trump signaled that his upcoming State of the Union address is expected to be "lengthy."

Trump emphasized that he has "a lot to discuss" regarding the state of the nation, as reported by Efe News Agency.

"We have a country that's doing well right now. We have the best economy we've ever had, the highest level of activity ever. Tomorrow night, I'm going to give a speech, and you'll hear me say this. It will be long because there's so much to discuss," stated the Republican leader, who already set a record last year when his congressional address lasted 1 hour and 42 minutes.

According to Efe, this year's speech comes amid heightened tensions between Trump and the judiciary following the Supreme Court's decision to strike down his tariff policy, as well as revelations surrounding the Epstein case.

Just hours after the United States Supreme Court declared most of the global tariffs imposed under emergency powers illegal, Trump responded on Saturday with a surprising announcement that once again disrupts global trade: a 15% global tariff effective immediately, with a warning that it could increase.

In a message posted on his social platform, Truth Social, Trump confirmed that the tariff would be applied to countries he claims have been "cheating the U.S. for decades." He also hinted at potential further increases in the coming months. "The Administration will determine and issue the new legally permissible tariffs," he wrote, adopting a defiant tone following the judicial setback.
