Man Proposes on First Day: Met in Cuba, Returned for Her, and Now Married for Six Years

An unexpected encounter at a hotel in Cienfuegos blossomed into a love story that defied borders and expectations. A young Cuban woman, known on TikTok as @wearekovach (Cubanaenletonia), revealed how she met the man who would forever alter her life: a foreign guest she interacted with for just three days, unaware that this fleeting moment would shape her future.

"It all started in Cuba," she shares in her video. At the time, she was employed at the hotel where their paths crossed, and from the outset, she sensed something extraordinary. They spent three intense days together, engaging in endless conversations as if they had known each other for a lifetime. According to her account, things became serious quickly, with him proposing marriage on the very first day.

After those three memorable days, he returned to Latvia. During the flight, with no signal, doubt began to creep in. "Everyone told me it was just a summer fling and he wouldn’t come back," she recalls. However, upon landing, her phone was flooded with messages expressing how much he missed and loved her, and his desire to return. And return he did. This time, he stayed in Cuba for a month, during which they both decided to fully commit to their relationship.

Six years later, they have built a life together and started a family in Latvia. The creator herself addressed skeptics by stating that her friends, family, and colleagues can vouch for the authenticity of their relationship. "It's hard to believe, which is why I rarely share it," she admitted.
