A wave of graffiti and posters mentioning Donald Trump has started making rounds on social media from Havana and San José de las Lajas, Mayabeque.
Images and videos shared by Armando Labrador from the platform Cuba Primero show messages displayed in prominent locations like the famous Malecón.
A poster with slogans such as "Viva Trump, Cuba Primero" can be seen on the Malecón wall, credited to activists from this platform.
Armando Labrador himself stated, "The people are in the streets, Cuba Primero is committed to Liberty and the end of oppressive tyranny. We have activists throughout Cuban territory ready to keep pushing this dying regime until we achieve the long-awaited and necessary freedom."
He added, "If Cubans are condemned to abandonment and continuous abuse for over 60 years, the dictatorship must fall, and the homeland must be free."
Other posts reveal similar posters in San José de las Lajas. Reports suggest that patrols attempted to erase the messages soon after they were noticed, amidst a backdrop of heightened surveillance in symbolic and highly visible areas.
According to Labrador, the posters appeared in educational centers, public spaces, sports facilities, and areas near official buildings, reflecting "the frustration of a people enduring 67 years of oppression, lies, and systematic human rights violations."
Cuba Primero is a civic movement promoting peaceful activism, founded by Armando Labrador. It aims to prioritize the dignity, rights, and well-being of the Cuban people over ideologies or political power pursuits.
The movement describes itself as independent, unaffiliated with political parties, armed groups, or electoral campaigns.
It advocates for non-violent civic action, humanitarian solidarity, and international advocacy to highlight and defend the human rights and fundamental freedoms of Cubans.
Focused on moral and ethical support for citizens in Cuba, particularly those facing repression for exercising freedoms of expression, association, and conscience, the movement asserts that it does not seek to seize power by force nor consider itself a fundraising or aid agency. Instead, it is a citizen-driven and ethically civic initiative aimed at improving Cuban society.
