Trump Plans Alternative Halftime Show During Super Bowl: Meet the Performers

While millions will tune into the official halftime show of the 2026 Super Bowl, former President Donald Trump intends to watch an alternative performance organized by the conservative group Turning Point USA (TPUSA). This event, dubbed the “All-American Halftime Show,” was recently announced.

TPUSA aims to rival the traditional halftime spectacle and has already released a lineup of performers for their event: Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, and Lee Brice.

Scheduled for this Sunday, February 8, in Santa Clara, California, the Super Bowl 2026 will feature a clash between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, attracting an estimated 123 million viewers in the United States.

Trump will not be attending the finale in person, citing distance as the reason for his absence.

Mar-a-Lago Hosts Private Viewing Party

Instead, the former president has chosen to host a private viewing party at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, to watch the game in a more intimate setting.

Trump arrived in Palm Beach County on Friday night and is expected to stay throughout the weekend for the event. This has led to temporary road closures around Mar-a-Lago for security and organizational purposes, according to reports.

The White House has confirmed that Trump does not intend to watch the halftime show headlined by Bad Bunny. Instead, he will focus on the alternative program promoted by TPUSA.

White House spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, stated, “I believe the President would much prefer a performance by Kid Rock over Bad Bunny, to be frank.”

Trump's decision against attending seems to be linked to the artists selected for the halftime show, as he has criticized the choice of Bad Bunny, describing it as "absolutely ridiculous" and "terrible."
