The distressing search for a missing Havana resident concluded tragically. The man, previously reported missing from the Mulgoba neighborhood in Boyeros, was discovered dead in his home.
His name was Luis, and he lived on 5th Street in the aforementioned area.
The confirmation of his death came from his sister, Vilma Vázquez, who shared the news via a comment on Facebook in response to a post by the media outlet CiberCuba.
In her message, Vilma expressed gratitude for the support received during the search and elaborated on the circumstances surrounding her brother's death.
"I am his sister living in Wajay. He lived alone in a large house and was found in the last room with a massive heart attack," she explained.
Vilma mentioned that her brother had been ill for some time and was experiencing severe emotional distress, including deep depression.
"His body now rests in peace. Thank you all for your concern; these were very difficult days. (...) Only God knows the immense pain we feel," she emphasized.
In another comment, she added that the situation unfolded suddenly and in solitude: "He was sick, battling depression and anxiety; everything happened quickly, alone in his room. A sad reality we are living."

Initially, the name of the missing person was not disclosed, but it was noted that he lived in Mulgoba and was last seen the previous Thursday.
The post did not clarify whether a formal report had been filed with the police, but it highlighted the desperation of a family that had been without news of their loved one for nearly a week.
