Exchange Rates for Two Currencies Drop in Cuba's Informal Market

The start of February witnesses a decline in the value of two out of the three key currencies in Cuba's informal exchange market.

As of 7:00 a.m. on February 2, the value of the euro dropped to 538 CUP, marking a decrease of two pesos from the previous day's rate, according to the daily report by the independent outlet elTOQUE.

The drop is even more significant for the Freely Convertible Currency (MLC), which fell from 410 to 400, a reduction of ten pesos compared to Sunday.

Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar has maintained its rate at 485 CUP for a full week.
