In the wake of a fatal shooting involving ICE agents in Minneapolis, former President Donald Trump has expressed his support for federal officers while placing blame on Democratic politicians.

Trump, on his social media platform Truth, highlighted the firearm reportedly belonging to the deceased, asserting it was "loaded (with two extra full magazines!), ready to fire."

“What’s the meaning of all this? Where was the local police? Why weren't they allowed to protect ICE agents? Did the mayor and governor order them to stand down? It's claimed that many of these officers were not permitted to do their job, forcing ICE to defend themselves, which is no easy task!” he questioned.

Subsequently, Trump directed his ire at local congresswoman Ilhan Omar.

“Why does Ilhan Omar have $34 million in her account? And where are the tens of billions of dollars that have been stolen from what used to be the great state of Minnesota? We are here because of massive financial fraud, with billions missing, and illegal criminals allowed to infiltrate the state through Democrats' open border policies. We want our money back, and we want it NOW,” Trump declared, attributing federal intervention in the city to these claimed injustices.

“The scammers who stole the money will go to jail, where they belong! This is no different than a major bank heist. Much of what you are witnessing is a COVER-UP of this theft and fraud. The mayor and governor are inciting insurrection with their pompous, dangerous, and arrogant rhetoric!” he added.

“Instead, these sanctimonious politicians should be searching for the billions stolen from the people of Minnesota and the United States of America. LET OUR ICE PATRIOTS DO THEIR JOB! 12,000 illegal alien criminals, many of them violent, have been detained and removed from Minnesota. If they were still there, you'd see something much worse than what you're witnessing today,” concluded the Republican.

This past Saturday, a man was fatally shot by federal agents during an operation in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The deceased was a 37-year-old local resident, and the police suspect he was a U.S. citizen.

At a press conference on Saturday, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara indicated that the incident, occurring amid federal operations related to immigration control, has sparked renewed protests and calls from state authorities for Minnesota to spearhead the investigation.

O’Hara emphasized that the victim was a Minneapolis resident and that the police "believe" he was a U.S. citizen.

During the same briefing, he noted that preliminary information suggests multiple federal agents were involved in the shooting, and mentioned the existence of public video showing several officers struggling with an individual.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported the incident occurred around 9:05 a.m. during a federal operation, with the man allegedly approaching the agents with a firearm.

According to the federal account, an attempt to disarm him led to a struggle, resulting in an agent firing "in self-defense."

National media reported that the man was a legal gun owner with a permit to carry, although his full identification was not immediately disclosed in available reports.

Meanwhile, according to CNN, White House senior advisor Stephen Miller alleged, without evidence, that the American citizen killed was a “domestic terrorist” who “attempted to murder a federal officer.”

However, an investigation has yet to be conducted, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unresolved.

Following the shooting, Governor Tim Walz activated the State Emergency Operations Center and publicly demanded that Minnesota lead the investigation into the incident.

Walz communicated to the White House that the state should oversee the process to ensure justice and called for calm.

The case has drawn protesters and new tensions to Minneapolis, a city already experiencing demonstrations over previous incidents.

Local authorities and media reports highlighted clashes and crowd control measures during subsequent gatherings.

This incident marks the second fatality caused by ICE agents in three weeks.
