A Cuban woman recently took to social media to express her outrage after a shipping agency delivered two 65-inch televisions to her home in Cuba, both completely destroyed. Shockingly, the second TV was supposed to be a replacement for the first, which had also arrived damaged.
The incident was made public via a video by TikTok user @yabelkiscub, where she displayed the shattered screens and recounted her family's frustration over the situation.
She explained that the first television was dropped off on December 13th at three in the morning. Upon inspection, they found it to be "completely broken."
"It was meant to be a gift for my grandfather from an aunt who lives in the United States. As soon as it arrived, we took photos and videos and sent them to my aunt, who then contacted the agency. They pledged to send a replacement," the woman explained.
Unfortunately, the ordeal didn't end there. On January 6th, when the agency delivered the supposed replacement, it was in even worse condition than the first. "When we opened the TV, it was more damaged than the previous one, just terrible," she lamented, showing the condition of the device on camera.
As of January 17th, the family claims the agency has yet to retrieve either of the broken televisions or refund their money, leading to widespread indignation. "My aunt has given up, she doesn't want anything more to do with that agency," she expressed in disappointment.
The video has gained significant traction on Cuban social media, with many users voicing their frustration over the lack of accountability from some shipping and freight companies operating between the United States and Cuba.
