Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugás recently shared an emotional and pride-filled post showcasing his Las Vegas home, a testament—according to him—to a decade of sacrifices, unwavering faith, and relentless hard work.

“Ten long years of this journey. I love my Miami apartment, but my Las Vegas home is incredibly special because of the story behind it. It was built with sweat, blood, and tears,” the champion wrote on his Instagram account alongside several photos of his residence and luxury cars.

Ugás recalled the most challenging period of his professional and personal life when he arrived in Las Vegas at 30, with no clear direction. “I hadn't fought for almost two and a half years, had gone through bankruptcy to start from scratch, and had achieved nothing with my life. I stayed a week at a friend's house, then moved to a hotel. I didn’t have a car and used to take shared Uber rides to attend training sessions,” he recounted.

Representing the Cuban community in the United States with pride, Ugás said he never lost faith during those tough times. “I had a dream and was willing to work hard and give my all for it. When I returned to Miami, I would tell my friends about my experiences, and we would laugh together about those crazy times,” he recalled.

Over the years, Ugás climbed the ranks in professional boxing, achieving world titles and international recognition, yet he insists on remembering his roots. “If you’re 30 and feel like you haven’t done anything special with your life, have faith and keep working, keep studying, keep improving. I was in the same place,” he advised.

The athlete emphasized that his post wasn’t meant to show off, but rather to inspire those going through difficult times. “I share my story not to make you envious but to motivate and inspire you. With God’s help, clear ideas, hard work, and intelligence, anything is possible. Dreams take many years to achieve. The harder they are to reach, the more you’ll cherish, value, and be grateful for them,” he reflected.

Ugás also expressed his gratitude to those who supported him along the way. “Thanks to everyone who has supported me, always thanks to my fans, thanks to my Cuban community and especially thanks to this country for the opportunities and freedom,” he wrote, concluding with a phrase that encapsulates his core beliefs: “God, Homeland, Life, Freedom.”

In the comments, dozens of followers and colleagues left messages of admiration and pride for his example of perseverance and humility.
