Congressman Carlos Giménez expressed his enthusiasm following President Trump's ultimatum to the Cuban regime.
"President Trump is dedicated to the cause of freedom in #Cuba. He first targeted Venezuela, and now he's focusing on the land where I was born," Giménez shared on X.
"I was just a child when I was forced to leave Cuba. Miami welcomed us with open arms, and now I represent my community in Congress. This hemisphere should be the hemisphere of freedom. We will be forever grateful to President Trump!" he added.
Earlier, Giménez celebrated recent achievements of Cuban Americans in the United States.
"Cuban Americans are stepping up and we are proud!" Giménez exclaimed on X.
Giménez highlighted some of these achievements, noting the success in college football of "the University of Miami led by the nation's best: Cuban American coach Mario Cristobal."
Additionally, the Heisman Trophy was recently awarded to standout Cuban American quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
"Secretary of State Marco Rubio dominates the global stage! President Trump supports our community more than any other president in U.S. history!" the congressman added.
"We are relentless because our families instilled that in us! Failure is NOT an option! Onward!" he concluded.
