A horrific act of violence has deeply impacted the Cuban community in Missouri just days before the year's end. A man fatally shot his former partner, who was also the mother of his two children, and her current boyfriend before ending his own life.

The victims have been identified as Elizabeth Hernández Sánchez, 33, and Yeisir Fuster Concepción, 42.
The assailant, identified as Randys Miguel Ramírez Díaz, was Elizabeth's ex-partner. He took his own life shortly after committing the attack.

According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, the violent event occurred between 10:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, near South Stracks Church Road and State Highway M.
Officers responded to a call about a "man down" and discovered two individuals with fatal gunshot wounds inside a vehicle upon arrival.
Authorities confirmed that Elizabeth Hernández-Sánchez and Yeisir Fuster were traveling together when they were attacked, and that both were employed alongside the perpetrator.
In the early hours of Tuesday, investigators located a vehicle of interest at a travel center near Interstate I-70. When attempting to communicate with the individual inside, he shot himself and died at the scene. He was later confirmed to be Randys Ramírez.
