Cuban actress and host Maka, known by her real name María Karla Rivero, recently shared on social media that her mother, the renowned actress Coralita Veloz, experienced an accident two days ago while in the Dominican Republic.
"There were moments of fear, silence, and prayer... but thank God she is okay," Maka wrote in a Facebook post, which featured a photo of her embracing her mother in Punta Cana.
The performer expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the family members, friends, and healthcare professionals who supported her mother during those critical times. "Thanks to Dr. Caraballo and surgeon Adolfo Sesto for their compassion, quick action, and humanity," she emphasized.
Maka did not disclose the nature of her mother's accident in Punta Cana but mentioned that the ordeal reminded her of the significance of family and faith. "Today, we embrace life with renewed strength, deeper faith, and immense gratitude. Family, that's what truly matters," the actress concluded.
