A tragic turn of events unfolded during a party at an Airbnb rental in Miami Gardens early Friday morning when masked gunmen opened fire, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including a teenager, and leaving another person in critical condition.

The Miami Gardens Police Department reported receiving a call about a shooting incident around 12:45 a.m. in the vicinity of the 1900 block of NW 175th Street, as detailed by local news outlet Telemundo.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered three gunshot victims inside the home where the gathering of approximately 30 attendees was taking place.

Preliminary investigations suggest that three men donning ski masks entered the premises and began shooting without any prior altercation.

"There was no ongoing fight. They were not attendees of the party," clarified police spokesperson Delgado in local media reports.

Following the assault, the suspects fled in an unknown direction. Authorities have yet to provide details regarding any vehicle used in the escape, nor have any arrests been reported.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded promptly, airlifting two of the victims to a nearby hospital, while the third was transported via ground ambulance.

Officials later confirmed the fatalities of an adult male and a teenager.

The investigation remains active as law enforcement seeks public assistance in identifying those responsible for this violent incident, which highlights ongoing concerns about safety at private gatherings and rented event properties in South Florida, especially during the holiday season.
