Authorities have detained two men suspected of carrying out a brutal home invasion in the Boca de Camarioca area of Cárdenas, Matanzas. The incident left a couple residing in the house injured, with one suffering critical injuries, as per official reports.

The Facebook page “Con Todos La Victoria,” affiliated with the Ministry of the Interior (Minint), reported on the recent event and the apprehension of the suspects, identified as Diosmey de Jesús Hidalgo Rodríguez and Manuel Alexander Nimer Paz.

According to the report, the two men, with their faces concealed, forcibly entered the victims' home. Once inside, they threatened and assaulted the couple, inflicting injuries on both, with one sustaining severe harm.

The attackers made off with a considerable amount of money: 135,000 CUP and 4,000 USD, along with the security camera recording equipment, cell phones, gold jewelry, and several knives.

Thanks to the swift and effective action of law enforcement, the perpetrators were promptly apprehended in the Bellotex area of Matanzas city, and several of the stolen items were recovered.

The apprehended individuals have an extensive criminal history, including charges of burglary and home invasion. The source emphasized that they will face justice, as the investigation remains ongoing.

In comments on the post, relatives and acquaintances of the victims identified the critically injured person as Amado Álamo, though this has not been confirmed by officials.
