A Powerball ticket purchased at a Publix grocery store in Florida has secured a $1 million prize, as confirmed on Saturday.

This Quick Pick ticket, acquired at the Publix located at 525 S. Belcher Rd. in Clearwater, matched the five base numbers, earning it a $1 million reward. The identity of the ticket holder remains unknown, according to El Nuevo Herald.

This marks the fourth instance of such a prize being won in Florida since the previous Powerball jackpot was claimed.

On the same day, a player who bought their ticket at a Chevron gas station at 6653 Thomasville Rd, Tallahassee, hit the winning numbers for the Fantasy 5 midday drawing, collecting a prize of $59,439.

The Powerball jackpot is projected to reach $1.1 billion for Monday’s drawing, as nobody matched the numbers 1, 28, 31, 57, 58, and Powerball 16.

Winners must claim their prizes at the Florida Lottery's headquarters in Tallahassee or any of the nine district offices throughout the state. Appointments are available but not a requirement.

In a similar stroke of luck last September, a single ticket sold at a Publix in Hallandale Beach, Broward County, captured the $36.5 million jackpot in the Florida Lottery drawing.
