A Cuban woman residing in the United States recently took to TikTok to share her latest travel experience to the island, revealing that she encountered no issues with immigration authorities upon her return. This comes amidst growing fears among many Cuban emigrants about potential repercussions for visiting Cuba.

The TikTok user, known as @marianelarodrigu795, recounted, "Nothing is happening, folks. I left on Saturday and returned today, Tuesday. The only questions I faced at the Tampa airport were why I went to Cuba, how many days I stayed, and that I was there to see my mom."

She elaborated that prior to acquiring her residency through the Cuban Adjustment Act, she had initially sought political asylum but closed her case once she secured legal residency.

"I traveled to Cuba last year after closing my case and returned without any issues. This December, I went back, spent time with my family, and nothing happened," she expressed in her video.

According to her account, immigration officers in Tampa simply returned her documents and wished her a good day.

"Nobody is losing their residency or getting detained. If you want to visit your family or bring them medicine, go ahead. As long as you haven't committed any crime, nothing will happen to you," the Cuban woman stressed.

Her message has sparked a debate on social media, with some users echoing her experience while others caution that each immigration case is unique, relying on an individual's legal history and specific status.
