Cuban Influencer in Miami Pleads for Help After Husband's Unexpected ICE Arrest

Friday, December 5, 2025 by Isabella Sanchez

A Cuban influencer living in Miami, known on social media as Belixa (@beluuh___), has tearfully reported the sudden arrest of her husband by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. Her husband, who does not have any criminal record or fines in the United States, was taken into custody unexpectedly.

Belixa, a digital creator and the CEO and founder of the brand @eternaljewelry__, often shares motivational videos, lifestyle content from Miami, and fashion tips on her social media platforms.

For several years, the young woman has been living in Miami with her partner, who had an I-220A form. During a court appearance on Thursday, he was aggressively detained by ICE.

"I'm making this video outside the immigration court here in Miami because they just took my husband away," Belixa began, visibly distraught.

"He had his first court appearance, and as soon as he stepped out, ICE was there to handcuff him like a criminal. He doesn’t even have a parking ticket in this country," she recounted.

The influencer further explained that since arriving in the United States, both have been working hard, even establishing their own business. "All we've done from day one is work hard and do everything right in this country to get ahead," she stated.

Through tears, she appealed for community support. "If you could please share this video, anyone who can help us or anything, I would greatly appreciate it," she said, her voice cracking with emotion.

As of now, the official reasons behind the arrest remain unknown, but similar incidents have been reported in Miami and other U.S. cities. ICE has been detaining immigrants with open asylum cases or without criminal records, amid a tightening of immigration policies.

Understanding ICE Procedures and Immigrant Rights

Why was Belixa's husband arrested by ICE?

The specific reasons for his arrest are not publicly known, but ICE has been increasingly detaining immigrants with open asylum cases or no criminal records as part of stricter immigration policies.

What is an I-220A form?

An I-220A form is a document used by ICE to release an immigrant from detention under certain conditions. It often requires the individual to report regularly to ICE and comply with specific requirements.

How can the community support immigrants in similar situations?

Community support can be provided by sharing information about such cases, advocating for fair immigration practices, and offering legal or financial assistance to those affected.
