With her trademark humor and relaxed style, the Cuban influencer provided a step-by-step guide to turning this traditional dish into a delightful treat worth repeating at home.
In the video shared on her social platforms, she begins by explaining that the first step is to thoroughly wash the beef tongue, slice it into large chunks, and then cook it in a pressure cooker for 45 minutes to tenderize it.
Once the tongue is ready, she removes and discards the skin. The tender meat is then diced to continue the preparation process.
The next step involves creating a traditional Cuban sofrito using pork lard, garlic, diced bell peppers, onions, pepper, and other seasonings. When the sofrito starts to brown, she adds the diced tongue, a splash of dry wine, and tomato sauce. She mixes everything well and lets it simmer until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld together.
