Cuban YouTubers Javi and Zami Embark on a New Journey Outside Cuba: "We Broke Through a Barrier"

The well-known content creators behind the YouTube channel "Javi & Zami" announced over the weekend that they have left Cuba to pursue a new project abroad.

Having become a staple in Cuban culinary content, the couple shared an emotional video detailing how they managed to gather the necessary resources through their own efforts to embark on an international journey.

With their fresh, critical, and entertaining style, Javi and Zami have captivated thousands of followers both inside and outside the country. Their videos showcase luxury hotels and restaurants in Havana, offering an honest and intimate view of the Cuban gastronomic scene.

"We broke through a barrier," they stated, highlighting the challenges many young creators face when attempting to travel from Cuba on their own dime, whether for leisure, emigration, or professional projects.

"This trip is an evolution for us, marking a significant turning point for our channel. It's our second attempt to leave the country in 2025. Mexico denied us visas in March, but rather than being defeated, we decided this year would be our year to travel. Here we are, because everything happens for a reason," Zami explained.

"There are so many things we want to experience in the first world," Javi admitted, sharing images of their initial fulfilled wishes abroad.

Though they plan to return to Cuba, they did not specify when. They also kept the destinations they will be visiting and the country that will host them during this new chapter a secret.

Their departure signifies a milestone within the Cuban YouTuber community, serving as an example of overcoming obstacles, independence, and creative freedom.
