Mailin Rodríguez Sánchez, the wife of political prisoner and prisoner of conscience Yosvany Rosell García Caso, reported on Saturday, October 22, 2025, that she is being subjected to surveillance, threats, and harassment by Cuban State Security.
In a Facebook post, Rodríguez Sánchez, a mother of three, claimed that several individuals have been intimidated to prevent them from visiting her home, which she views as a blatant act of repression and control by the regime's authorities.
"People have been threatened not to come to my house. This means I am being watched, repressed, threatened, and my phone is tapped. I fear for my life. I hold the G2, the DTI, and all involved Cuban government officials accountable for anything that might happen to me," she declared.
Rodríguez Sánchez also vowed to continue fighting for her husband's freedom and justice, as he is currently on a hunger strike that has reached 31 days, protesting his unjust imprisonment.
"I have rights and duties, and I will make them count. I won't stop fighting for my husband's freedom and justice. If something happens to me, I want it known that the regime's authorities are responsible," Rodríguez Sánchez added.
Yosvany Rosell García Caso, recognized as a prisoner of conscience, has been acknowledged by human rights organizations for his peaceful activism and critical stance against the Cuban regime.
His family has repeatedly reported the reprisals and harassment they endure for demanding his release.

On November 19, he was transferred to the penal ward of the Provincial Clinical-Surgical Hospital after 29 days on hunger strike. His family now reports that his condition is critical.
