Email Suggests Trump Was Aware of Epstein's Activities; White House Denies Allegations

A 2019 email from Jeffrey Epstein hints that President Donald Trump was "aware of the girls," according to documents released on Wednesday.

However, the details surrounding this claim and its potential connection to Epstein's sexual offenses remain unclear, as reported by American media outlets, including the Associated Press.

The White House swiftly responded, accusing Democrats of selectively leaking the late financier's emails to "craft a misleading narrative for political purposes."

"This is a blatant manipulation of partial information solely aimed at tarnishing the president's image," stated a government spokesperson.

The House Oversight Committee's Democrats released three emails where Epstein mentions Trump.

In one such email from 2011, Epstein informed his then-associate Ghislaine Maxwell that the mogul "spent hours" at his residence alongside a young victim of his sex trafficking network.

The release of these emails has reignited speculation about the nature of Trump's relationship with Epstein and what the current president truly knew about the financier's illicit activities, for which he was convicted of sex trafficking minors.

Epstein, who died in prison in 2019 under controversial circumstances, had connections with numerous influential figures in both the business and political spheres.

Nevertheless, Trump has consistently denied any involvement or awareness of Epstein's crimes, asserting that he severed all ties with him more than a decade ago.

During his presidency, Trump labeled the accusations as "false and politically motivated," and his communications team emphasized that the emails released "lack context and prove nothing."

"The Democrats are desperate to distract the public with recycled and unfounded stories," commented a White House official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
