In the wake of Hurricane Melissa and the heartbreaking images emerging from eastern Cuba, numerous Cubans both on the island and abroad have mobilized to offer their support. From Miami, well-known figures from the music scene and social media, including TikToker Bryansito, singer Zurdo, urban artist Wow Popy, and performer Bebeshito, have banded together in a charitable initiative, delivering donations to families hardest hit by the powerful storm.

The artists, along with the La Familia Cubana account, shared visuals of themselves loading boxes and donations into a truck, filled with a sense of determination, joy, and enthusiasm. Their contributions included food, water, and essential items for families devastated by the cyclone, a gesture that has deeply moved their followers.

"Our people need us, regardless of where you are from... we need that help," Bryansito urged in a post highlighting the day of solidarity, encouraging his followers to join in. His words captured the spirit of empathy and dedication that defined this effort. Meanwhile, Wow Popy arrived with bags overflowing with supplies to assist the people of eastern Cuba, where he also has family ties.

Hurricane Melissa caused extensive damage in the eastern region of the country, leaving homes wrecked and communities entirely cut off. Amidst this backdrop, the actions of these young creators from Miami have become a source of inspiration for other Cubans. Bebeshito, alongside his wife Rachel, also brought food and essential goods. Rachel recounted successfully relocating her family before the hurricane struck, although her grandfather's house was damaged and flooded.

Social media platforms were flooded with messages of admiration and gratitude towards the artists. Comments like "Thank you for thinking of our people," "This is how to represent Cuba," and "An example many should follow" were among the most frequently echoed sentiments.
