Cuban influencer Rachel Arderi and reggaeton artist Oniel Bebeshito have extended their support by sending vital food and supplies to families devastated by Hurricane Melissa, which wreaked havoc in eastern Cuba.

In a video shared by La Familia Cubana, Rachel recounted the personal impact of the cyclone's floods on her family. "Contributing a small part for the people of Cuba. My folks in the east, because my whole family is in Holguín. I moved my grandfather and my entire family from where they were. My grandfather's three-story house got completely flooded up to the second floor," she expressed, visibly emotional about the situation.

Hurricane Melissa struck eastern Cuba with winds reaching up to 183 miles per hour and heavy rains, severely damaging essential infrastructure. In Holguín, the Vladimir Ilich Lenin Provincial Hospital was partially incapacitated due to significant flooding and power outages, complicating medical services. Many areas in the province remain without electricity and clean water, while emergency and health services are overwhelmed.

Facing these dire conditions, Rachel emphasized prioritizing the shipment of food, convinced that "this is what the people of Cuba need most right now." Meanwhile, Oniel Bebeshito clarified that his charitable actions are not for public acclaim. "I don't make donations for social media, that's why I didn't post anything," the singer stated to La Familia Cubana's cameras, emphasizing that his motivation is to assist his community rather than create content.

The video capturing the aid delivery sparked a wave of responses on social media, where many Cubans expressed admiration and gratitude. "What a beautiful gesture, eastern Cuba is in ruins, any donation is appreciated," one follower commented. Others praised the artist's humility and dedication to his people. "This guy is number one, no doubt, tremendous humility, my respects," another user wrote.
