Oyacito Speaks Out After "La Casa de Alofoke" Visit: "I Fearlessly Speak About Cuba"

Friday, October 31, 2025 by Ava Castillo

Cuban influencer Gino Montalvo Martínez, widely recognized as Oyacito "King of Kings", addressed his followers following the controversy sparked by his appearance on the Dominican reality show "La Casa de Alofoke," where he visited his friend Pollito Tropical.

In a video shared on his social media platforms, Oyacito clarified that his visit was merely to accompany his brother, not to engage in political discussions. "The topic of politics creates divisions, separates friends, and splits families. Just as unity is positive, it becomes detrimental when people try to impose their views on others," he noted.

Having resided in Miami for the past five years, the comedian expressed his unyielding willingness to speak openly about Cuba. "I'm not afraid to shout against Díaz-Canel and the dictatorship. I don't fear proclaiming that the Cuban people can't advocate for their rights because doing so leads to disappearance. Since July 11, people have vanished. I can say it boldly because I come from there," he declared.

Oyacito disclosed that during his time at "La Casa de Alofoke," he was advised to steer clear of politics. "They told me to avoid discussing that topic too much to not make it seem like I was there to speak on his behalf. It's true. I wanted to talk, yet was hesitant, and in my nervousness, I mistakenly said 'Down with Cuba.' That was just silliness. There are energy-sucking parasites seeking attention from that comment," he explained, clarifying his error stemmed from wanting to denounce the dictatorship.

Oyacito's Call for Understanding

The humorist urged everyone to reduce tension and abandon indoctrination. "Nothing is perfect. Anyone can make a mistake. I might see things one way, and you another. We might even be on the same wavelength but express ourselves differently," he remarked. He further added, "We Cubans can't vote for a president; we have no rights. But that doesn't mean we should attack each other."

Responses to the video flooded in quickly. Within minutes, social media was filled with supportive and affectionate comments towards the artist. "You're honestly my favorite influencer for being realistic, humble, and articulate," wrote one follower. Another stated, "That's right. It's called respect and education. Live and let live." Messages continued: "You said it, they want unity only when it suits them," "Respecting political views doesn't mean thinking alike," "A Dominican who adores you, you're my favorite."

Amidst hundreds of messages, the general sentiment was clear: Oyacito's followers appreciate his authenticity and his fearless way of speaking. "You're pure reality wrapped in humility. Congratulations, my love," another fan penned. While some disagreed, most agreed that he once again demonstrated his ability to speak candidly, without fear, and with a Cuban heart.
