Upon reaching home, disbelief lingered. “I couldn’t accept it. They called me for the funeral. I cried so much. I didn’t want him to leave. I disliked many things about that day: it seemed like a spectacle, with many strangers attending just to make money. That hurt me deeply.”
With a choked voice, Yomil also recounted the real events of the night El Dany passed away. “What happened to Dany was negligence. He woke up with chest and arm pain. The nurse told him to listen to music, that it would go away... but it didn’t. Two hours later, he suffered his first heart attack,” he recounted with anger and sadness. “Because of that nurse, a child, a family, a career were all ruined. I wanted justice to be served.”

I was devastated. That day, I only spoke with Daniela, the one person I could talk to that night.”
