During Teresa Padrón's recent visit to Cuba, El Taiger's grandmother, Nidia, experienced a profoundly emotional moment. Her trip coincided with the first anniversary of the reggaeton artist's passing. A heartwarming video shared by Teresa on Instagram captures the two women holding hands and conversing. With a trembling voice, Nidia confides, “I know I can count on you for anything,” before breaking down as she reminisces about her daughter Magda, the artist's mother: “I miss my daughter most of all... they take good care of me, but sometimes...”

Nidia's words, filled with nostalgia, deeply touched Teresa, who comforted her with compassion. "Every time I visit Cuba, I have the privilege of spending time with Nidia, José's grandmother... seeing her, hugging her, listening to her reminds me that life is short and sometimes too harsh, but also that true love never dies," Teresa, the former representative of El Taiger, wrote alongside the video.

Teresa’s trip to Havana also included a visit to the Colón Cemetery to pay tribute to El Taiger, who passed away on October 10, 2024. Since his death, Teresa has maintained a close relationship with the artist’s family and has been a staunch defender of his legacy both in Cuba and Miami.

The video sparked an outpouring of reactions on social media. Numerous followers left messages of affection and admiration for both women. One user commented, “To keep a promise to the letter, to stay true to what you pledged to yourself, doing for that family what defines you as the good person you are. God bless you, Teresa.”

Other comments read: “We never doubted you, Tere. José didn't trust you with this responsibility for nothing,” “You’re the only one who doesn’t lower her guard or head, and it shows,” and “Poor grandmother, how much pain she carries in her heart. Thank you for being there for her.”

Amidst tears and prayers, many highlighted Nidia’s strength and Teresa’s empathy, showing that loyalty and genuine affection transcend fame. “Tere, you are a great woman and Nidia is a warrior. God bless you both,” wrote another follower, echoing the sentiment of thousands who continue to mourn the artist but celebrate that his memory lives on through acts of love.
