A 91-year-old Cuban grandmother experienced one of the most thrilling moments of her life by fulfilling her greatest dream: meeting the famed Mexican singer, Marco Antonio Solís. Her story, shared by her granddaughter on social media, has gone viral, capturing hearts with its tenderness and emotional depth.
“My grandmother, a Cuban woman who has only been in this country for two years, always had a dream: to meet Marco Antonio Solís. Ever since she arrived, she would say, ‘When he comes to Miami, I want to be there.’ We promised to make it happen,” her granddaughter shared in a post that included a video of the heartwarming encounter.
Unable to secure tickets for Solís's Miami concert, the family decided to travel to Tampa for his show. Unbeknownst to them, it would be a magical night. During the performance, Marco Antonio Solís stepped off the stage to approach the grandmother, embraced her, and dedicated a song to her, bringing tears and applause from the audience.
“Seeing her on stage, smiling from the soul while Marco Antonio dedicated a song to her, was a miracle we will never forget,” the granddaughter expressed, deeply grateful to the singer and his team for their kindness.
After the concert concluded, the elderly woman had the chance to meet her idol in person and spend a few precious moments with him, an encounter her family described as “a dream come true.”
The social media post also extends thanks to the “Si no te hubieras ido” singer for his humility and warmth, and to his wife and team for making the Cuban grandmother feel “like a queen.”
“Thank God for reminding us that dreams come true when you have faith,” the granddaughter concluded, moved by an event that will remain etched in her family’s memory and in the hearts of the artist’s fans forever.
