Three Cuban entrepreneurs, Rasiel Reyes, Ángel Sánchez, and Carlos Cruz, are gearing up to open a high-end Japanese restaurant in Miami. The new establishment, named Yamashiro Miami, is scheduled to welcome guests on October 29, drawing inspiration from the legendary Japanese palace in Hollywood established in 1914. "Proud to introduce our new project," Reyes announced on Instagram, sharing insights into this ambitious business dream which he describes as "a legacy" born from sacrifice and perseverance.

Reyes reminisced about his arrival in the United States nearly two decades ago, with "empty pockets but immense wealth in our minds," and how through setbacks and lessons, he discovered his calling in the hospitality and entertainment industry. The restaurant aims to provide a luxurious dining experience, with every detail meticulously crafted to leave a lasting impression on its patrons. The culinary offerings will be curated by Executive Chef Gustavo Montes alongside renowned Chef Charbel Hayek, who is also a partner in the venture.

Among the culinary highlights are Japanese fried chicken, katsu sando, lobster in miso beurre blanc, black garlic Chilean sea bass, and premium cuts of Japanese and American wagyu, including the wagyu tomahawk with bone marrow teriyaki and house pickles. According to Reyes, Yamashiro Miami embodies "a fusion of Japanese tradition and modernity," and is poised to become a new gastronomic landmark in the city.

The venue itself is a visual spectacle, merging contemporary Japanese architecture with Miami's tropical elegance. With vaulted wooden ceilings, integrated gardens, warm lighting fixtures, and sophisticated night lighting, the ambiance is both refined and relaxing. The outdoor terrace and indoor areas are crafted with noble materials, minimalist furniture, and lush greenery, creating an intimate and elegant atmosphere that perfectly complements the dining experience.

Last December, they inaugurated another restaurant, Factoría de Azúcar, which has made waves in Miami since its opening.
