Cuban Man Detained in Madrid Following Fatal Stabbing Incident

A 57-year-old Cuban man was taken into custody on Friday, October 3rd, in Madrid's Puente de Vallecas district after a fatal stabbing of a 51-year-old Spanish man on a public street. The incident, which took place on Calle Carlos Aurioles, has left the local community in shock and prompted an urgent response from emergency services and police forces.

The tragic event unfolded around 10:00 PM at number 40 Calle Carlos Aurioles. According to Emergency Madrid sources, the victim collapsed after sustaining a deep stab wound to the left armpit. Witnesses notified emergency services after observing an altercation between the two men.

When Samur-Civil Protection teams arrived, they found the victim in a critical state. Municipal Police officers, already on the scene, were attempting to staunch the bleeding from the penetrating wound, which had caused significant blood accumulation in the victim's chest, severely impairing his breathing and rapidly worsening his condition.

For over thirty minutes, medical professionals endeavored to save his life using internal cardiac compressions, chest drainage, and intubation. However, despite their efforts, the victim was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

Shortly after the incident, National Police officers apprehended the suspected perpetrator, a 57-year-old Cuban national. Authorities confirmed that the incident was not linked to youth gangs or large brawls but stemmed from a personal conflict between the two men.

Both the victim and the alleged assailant were known to each other, having had previous disputes. However, the exact reasons for their disagreements remain undisclosed at this time.
