Cuban reggaeton artist Jorge Junior, the frontman of the band Los 4, has finally spoken out about the unsettling events that transpired during his recent tour in Peru. This comes after alarming his followers with an Instagram post where his son, Jaide, mentioned a "set-up." In a detailed account, Jorge Junior described being approached on the streets of Lima by a man who accused him of owing $60,000 and was backed by several armed individuals. "Thankfully, this man listened to my side of the story and realized the situation wasn't as he had been told," the musician recounted.

Following this confrontation, the situation for Jorge Junior and Los 4 drastically changed. They found themselves confined to their hotel, surrounded by security measures, unable to leave freely. The artist pointed fingers at Gian Carlos Borjas, the current manager of reggaeton artist Norlan and a former collaborator of Los 4, for spreading misinformation that escalated the issue. "His goal was to destabilize us and prevent Los 4 from performing in Lima," Jorge Junior asserted, holding Borjas responsible for lodging or supporting the complaint against him.

The ordeal brought nights filled with anxiety, concern from the contracting companies, and distress for the families involved. "You didn't care that I was there with my family, with my son. Your objective was to create confusion," Jorge Junior rebuked Borjas.

On September 24, CiberCuba reported the distressing situation of Jorge Junior and Jaide in Peru, following cryptic social media messages, but did not provide further details at that time. With these new declarations, the singer presents his version of the events surrounding the band during their tour.

Jorge Junior's Perspective on the Peru Incident

Jorge Junior elaborated further: "First and foremost, it's a mistake to assume others aren't thinking. Today, I'm addressing the Peru incident. I'll start with a man named Gian Carlos Borjas, someone lacking principles or codes. This individual, now managing Norlan, a former member of Los 4, cut ties with us long ago. Suddenly, while walking through Peru, I was approached by a man claiming I owed him $60,000, accompanied by armed individuals. Thankfully, he paused to hear my account and realized it wasn't as he'd been led to believe.

From that moment on, the dynamic for Los 4 shifted: we had to adopt a defensive stance within the hotel, unable to leave without authorization. My question is: according to Gian Carlos, who claimed to want to help, why did he go to the lengths of broadcasting and informing everyone that I was in trouble with very violent people, according to him? Why didn't he contact me or Batule? Why didn't he reach out to my home, my mother, or handle it differently?

Do you know why? Because his intention was never to help; it was to cause confusion and to prevent Los 4 from performing in Lima, as his artist is no longer as successful. Gian Carlos Borjas, let me tell you something—not as a threat—you can't imagine what we endured in that hotel. Numerous nights of desperation, mothers weeping, companies worried, all of Cuba calling... all because of your rumors. You didn't care that I was there with my family, with my son. Your aim was to destabilize.

It's known that you were the one who filed or assisted in filing the complaint against me. Kenner might have his ways, but Kenner is streetwise and has codes, and such a person doesn't involve the police. The only one who would do that is you, because your entire family is in law enforcement, and I know how they operate.

No matter what you do or say, Los 4 are unbeatable, and the Peruvian people won't be deceived, because they know the truth and you are a fraud. From now on, do as you wish, but when you come to Cuba, you'll understand how things really work on the streets. I've started with you; two more remain."
