Alexander Delgado, the leading force behind the Cuban duo Gente de Zona, has spoken out following his dramatic fall during a performance at Florida's Hertz Arena on Saturday. This concert was part of the group's 25th-anniversary tour. In a video shared on his social media channels, Delgado, also known as El Monarca, aimed to calm his fans: “I want to thank everyone for their concern about the fall. I’m doing great, nothing happened. If you watch the video, you’ll see I slipped, but it’s all good. I got right back up without any injuries. Thanks for worrying about me.”
Delgado mentioned that he took Sunday to rest and has recovered without any issues. “The important thing is that the concert was amazing, and everyone had a great time. That’s what really matters. Love you all, and see you soon,” he expressed while engaging in a tennis session.
The incident, which quickly gained traction on social media, occurred as the reggaeton star performed one of the group’s hit songs. Despite the fall, he immediately got back on his feet and continued the show with full energy, a move that was met with applause from the audience.
The event also featured the return of Jacob Forever, a former member of Gente de Zona, who joined Delgado and Randy Malcom on stage to perform some of the group's most iconic tracks.
This isn’t the first time Delgado has had an onstage mishap; he also took a tumble during the 2023 Premios Lo Nuestro. Nevertheless, his charisma and professionalism continue to define his stage presence.
