Mexican authorities are actively searching for Yudainis Cachima y Paz, a 25-year-old Cuban woman who has been missing since August 23 in the city of Tapachula, located in Chiapas. According to the Prosecutor's Office Against Forced Disappearance of Persons, Yudainis was last seen after a man invited her to the beach. Since then, there has been no indication of her whereabouts.

The State Prosecutor's Office has issued an official search notification through the "Have you seen...?" program, which also highlights the disappearance of Saraith Neilyn Castañeda González, a 28-year-old Venezuelan citizen. She vanished two days after Yudainis in the same city, near the border with Guatemala.

These two women are part of a distressing trend involving missing migrants in southern Mexico, a path many undertake while attempting to reach the United States. The disappearances underscore the extreme vulnerability faced by female migrants, who often report harassment, violence, or extortion.

Yudainis's family has reached out to the Migrant Prosecutor's Office, urging Mexican authorities to ensure her safe return. As of now, details regarding the investigation's progress remain undisclosed.

Human rights organizations have raised alarms about the rising number of migrant disappearances in Chiapas, especially in areas like Frontera Comalapa and Pijijiapan, where several incidents have been reported recently. Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance. Any information can be reported to Mexico's emergency number, 911, to aid in locating the missing individuals.
