Cuban Woman Stuns with Her Homemade Fashion Creations

A young Cuban woman who goes by @lisa_garci on TikTok has captured the attention of hundreds of viewers by showcasing a video where she demonstrates the process of making her own clothes in Havana, starting from purchasing the fabric to the final design.

The video, which has garnered numerous comments and reactions on the social media platform, features Lisa humorously narrating her journey into advanced sewing. "I have no idea what I was thinking when I decided I wanted to have one of these... I saw myself in a 'Project Runway' moment and took it to another level. I’m not just making little tops anymore; I’m creating entire outfits," she shares.

Lisa describes choosing a fabric on a whim and, after several days of labor, successfully putting together a pastel pink ensemble featuring an open-back top and a long skirt. Although she admits to improvising much of the process, her followers have celebrated the final result.

"The top ended up like this... I tried to make it double-layered so I wouldn’t have to wear anything underneath. I used a lot of fabric for that, and with what was left, I made the skirt. It was my first time making a skirt; I improvised with the slit because I wanted to tone down the formal look," she explained.

To complete her look, Lisa opted for simple accessories: a necklace with an initial, a black purse, and sunglasses that she jokes she "stole ages ago" from her boyfriend. She imagined debuting her creation on a sunset walk through Old Havana.

"It took me over a week, and I’m a beginner, so don’t charge me too much," she humorously requested at the end of her video, signing off with laughter.

The clip has sparked numerous supportive comments, applauding her creativity and self-taught talent. It highlights how, despite daily challenges, many Cubans find ways to express their style and personality through sewing and ingenuity.
