Cuban Woman Embraces RV Living: "No More Rent Payments"

Sunday, September 28, 2025 by James Rodriguez

A Cuban woman known on TikTok as Nile Coello (@nile_coello) has sparked a lot of conversation after she revealed her bold move to live in an RV with her husband as a way to stop paying rent. "No more rent payments for me," she asserts confidently in a video showcasing the heaps of boxes and black bags that they had to squeeze into their new mobile home.

In the video, she explains, "Every year, we renew a lease just to give our hard-earned money to someone else, so we decided to buy an RV." She shared the chaotic scene of their move, which took place in the middle of the night. Adjusting to the limited space has been a challenge, Nile admits, but not an insurmountable one: "We got it at 1 a.m. There wasn't even room to walk when we moved everything in."

The video has not only garnered support but also sparked a flurry of questions. Some skeptics question whether it's truly cheaper than renting, but Nile remains unfazed: "Obviously, it's not free living, but I'm definitely paying less than you," she replied to one comment.

Other Cuban users who also reside in RVs shared their experiences: "I live in an RV and don't envy anyone living in an apartment," one commented. "That's right, rent is killing us—better to live in an RV and have more peace," another agreed.

Nile has promised to continue sharing her journey in future videos, including insights into costs, parking, and how they managed to organize their new compact space. Her story has piqued the interest of many and perhaps even inspired some to consider packing up and embracing a new lifestyle.
